Bhutan Tour and Singalila Trek

Singalila Trek and Bhutan Tour

This is a combination of our trek to Sandakphu in Darjeeling for views of the highest mountains in the world including Mt. Everest combined with a short visit to Bhutan. The Sandakphu trek takes you through terraced fields, small villages, forests of oak and rhododendron to the Singalila Ridge from where you have magnificent mountain views including that of Mt. Everest. This trek combined with a visit to Darjeeling town makes a very good holiday. However to extend this and make it even more interesting we have added - Bhutan. It seems a perfect opportunity to visit when one is so close.

Guided Tour in Bhutan

Bhutan is one of those very special places in the world - that you need to see and experience before it is discovered by the average tourist. In our short visit to Bhutan, we have included what is most representative. Though both Bhutan and Darjeeling have a very rich Buddhist culture they are different in many ways. Bhutan is a true Shangri-la where little has changed over time. During our stay in Paro, we walk up close to the Tiger's Nest Monastery, a monastery situated on the edge of a rock face and explore Bhutan's oldest temples and National Museum before travelling to the current day capital - Thimphu. We return to Paro and then fly home.
