About Us

Himalayan Adventures started with my organising trips for my family of avid trekkers. This gave me the opportunity to trek in different parts of the world and build a small team of dedicated Sherpas and camp staff. Soon we began operating trips for overseas travel operators and have been doing this since 1989.

My team is made up of people who I have known for many years - they are experienced, friendly, reliable and competent. They know the region well and some of them are great cooks!

Our strength lies in our ability to organise trips to suit you, your style of travel and budget, in a region that we know well. So before you decide on a trip, do let me know a little about yourself.

We like to operate an informal and friendly style of travel. It is important for us that those on our trips respect the local culture and way of life.

My office is in a building built in 1885. It is conveniently located and is within a well known photographic store "Das Studio" which is on 15 Nehru Road, Darjeeling.

The best way to contact us is by email, and I or one of my team will answer you from wherever we are at the time. My travels take me out of the office quite a lot, infact anywhere from the Himalaya to South America, Africa, the US, Europe and Australia - but I do try to be in Darjeeling during the trekking season.
